These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website aalegalservices.in and the engagement of legal services provided by A&A Legal Services ("Firm", "we", "us", or "our"), a law firm registered and practising under the Bar Council of India. By accessing this website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use immediately.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, submitting an enquiry, or engaging A&A Legal Services for any legal matter, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood these Terms in full.
  • You are at least 18 years of age or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
  • You agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Legal Services

A&A Legal Services provides professional legal representation and advisory services across multiple practice areas including, but not limited to: criminal law, property law, family and matrimonial law, civil litigation, High Court proceedings, consumer forum matters, RTI, motor accident claims (MACT), taxation, employment law, and business law.

Our services are governed by the Advocates Act, 1961 and the Bar Council of India Rules. All advocates practising under A&A Legal Services are enrolled members of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh.

The scope of legal services for each client is defined in the individual engagement/retainer agreement and/or as agreed in writing. We reserve the right to decline any instruction at our discretion and without providing reasons.

4. Confidentiality

All information shared with us in the course of a legal engagement is treated as strictly confidential, subject to the professional obligations of advocates under the Bar Council of India Rules (Rule 17 — duty to maintain confidentiality).

Information submitted through our website contact form or via email before a formal engagement is also treated with discretion, but does not attract the full protection of legal professional privilege until a formal retainer is established.

We may disclose information where required by a court order, statute, or professional regulatory authority.

5. Fees & Payment

  • An initial consultation fee of ₹2,000 applies for the first meeting (in-person or by phone).
  • Professional fees for representation or advisory work are determined case-by-case and communicated prior to engagement.
  • All fees are payable as agreed and are exclusive of court filing fees, stamp duty, process server charges, and any other out-of-pocket disbursements, unless expressly stated otherwise.
  • Fees once paid for services rendered are non-refundable. Advance retainer fees not yet applied to services may be refundable subject to the terms of the individual engagement agreement.
  • A&A Legal Services does not charge fees on a contingency (no-win-no-fee) basis unless specifically agreed in writing for a particular matter.

6. Retainer & Engagement

A formal attorney-client relationship is only created when:

  • We have confirmed in writing (email or letter) that we are accepting your matter.
  • The terms of engagement have been agreed, including scope, fees, and retainer (if applicable).
  • Any applicable conflict-of-interest checks have been completed.

Until a formal engagement is established, we are under no obligation to take any action on your behalf, and information you share with us does not create confidentiality obligations beyond general professional discretion.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, graphics, logos, images, and the overall design — is the property of A&A Legal Services or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works of any content on this website without our express written permission. You may print or download content for your personal, non-commercial use only.

Legal documents, pleadings, and written advice prepared by us for a client become the property of the client once our fees have been paid in full. We retain copyright in the underlying drafts and templates used.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • A&A Legal Services shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) this website or from any legal services provided.
  • Our total liability to you in connection with any legal matter shall not exceed the professional fees actually paid by you for the specific matter giving rise to the claim.
  • We are not responsible for the outcome of any legal proceedings, which are ultimately determined by courts, tribunals, and other judicial bodies.
  • We are not liable for any delays or failures resulting from factors beyond our reasonable control, including court delays, adjournments, or changes in law.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate the engagement by providing reasonable notice in writing. We reserve the right to withdraw from a matter at any time where:

  • Our professional obligations require it (e.g., conflict of interest arising mid-matter).
  • A client provides instructions that require us to act unethically or contrary to law.
  • Fees remain unpaid despite reasonable notice.
  • The client-advocate relationship has irretrievably broken down.

Upon termination, we will return all original client documents promptly. Copies of correspondence and work product may be retained for our professional records.

10. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them (including non-contractual disputes) shall be governed by the laws of India.

Any disputes relating to these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. By using our website or engaging our services, you consent to such jurisdiction.

For professional conduct disputes, the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh has jurisdiction as the relevant regulatory body.

11. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page, with the "Last updated" date revised accordingly. Your continued use of the website or our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

For ongoing legal matters, any material changes to engagement terms will be communicated in writing and require your express agreement before taking effect.
